Nepal Police investigation has found that one of the two Indian nationals arrested after opening fire at Kamaladi -based Jack Denish dance restaurant in Kathmandu on Wednesday is an Indian police man.
Police recovered Punjab Police identity card from Jasbir Singh.
Jasabir and Arbind Singh, both from Punjab state of India, were arrested from Heritage Plaza in Kamaladi with an automatic pistol, 51 round 7.65mm bullets and four magazines. An Indian registered vehicle used by the arrested duo was also seized by police.
Of the arrestee, Arbind had pulled out the gun and fired at the restaurant ceiling following a dispute over food bill. The duo had consumed alcohol at the same restaurant before the altercation.
Police had detained two other women with them after the firing.
It is learnt that the duo entered Kathmandu from Sunauli on Tuesday. They were staying at Himalayan Darshan Hotel in Thamel.
