CPN-UML candidates have won the election in Sayal Rural Municipality of Doti district.
UML's Tej Bahadur Dumrel has been elected chairman of Sayal RM by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Dharma Raj Joshi. Dumrel secured 2631 votes, and Joshi got 2312 votes.
Similarly, CPN-UML’s Bishna Singh has been elected vice chairperson by securing 2724 votes, while her nearest contender NC’s Purna Maya Bista received 2258 votes. The CPN-UML candidates have won five of the six wards in the rural municipality.
According to the latest counting results made public so far, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have won two each rural municipalities in the district.
