A Bhutanese refugee of Nepali origin committed suicide in Texas of USA, on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Hari Adhikari.

He was found hanging from a tree outside his house. Adhikari had entered the USA in 2009.

He had purchased a house in Texas five years ago.

“Hari was an active person and was a good volleyball player,” Texas Nepali Society Chairman Krishna Lamichhane said after the incident.

In his suicide note, Adhikari said that he committed suicide due torture in his work place.

He is survived by his wife, a 16-year-old son, and a 9-year-old daughter.
