Cabinet meeting: Constitution implementation top priority

The first Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday at the Office of Prime Minister at Singha Durbar decided to hold second round of local-level elections within the scheduled date of July 28 and to implement the constitution and management of transition as per the constitution. Newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba chaired the meeting.
Similarly, the government also decided to hold election of province and the centre within January 21, 2018 as mentioned in the constitution, said the newly appointed Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
The government has also laid emphasis on different tasks including making post-reconstruction works effective, making people's oriented service efficient and smooth, strengthening peace and security and supply management and completing the remaining task of the peace process.
The meeting also nominated Finance Minister Karki as the Spokesperson of the government until further arrangement. RSS
