Saptari police on Wednesday rescued an abducted man and arrested two suspects in the process from Gamhariya Prabaha.
According to Superintendent of Police Anurag Dwibedi, an armed group had abducted Durga Prasad Sah, 26, from his home at Dakneshwori Municipality-8 on Monday. He was rescued while the kidnappers were taking him to India.
Two of the kidnappers, Jumrati Miya and Manjur Miya, were captured by police while two others managed to flee. Jumrati, who hails from Itahari, Sunsari, and Manjur, a Saptari native, were paraded before the media at the District Police Office on Wednesday afternoon.
A homemade pistol was also recovered from the duo.
