Foreign Minister of Bhutan Lyonpo Damcho Dorji on Saturday visited Tilaurakot, ancient Shakya capital city where Siddhartha Gautam spent 29 years of his princely life before he embarked on a journey to become Buddha.
Dorji, who was in Nepal to attend the Saarc Mini Summit held, visited Tilaurakot after taking a tour of Lumbini, birthplace of Buddha. Ajitman Tamang, secretary of Lumbini Development Trust, said the minister, during the visit, enquired about historical and archaeological facts. (PR)
