Agitators, who have been demonstrating by demanding investigations into the death of Purna Bahadur Ale, have halted the vehicular movement along the Prithvi Highway from 3:00 pm today after the death of Roshan Dura.
Dura, 18, of Bhadgaun in Vyas Municipality-1 was shot dead in the police firing on Friday evening.
Transport services have been halted after the agitators obstructed the traffic by burning tyres at Traffic Chowk in Damauli by demanding actions against the accused police, it is learnt.
Thousands of passengers have been stranded due to the halt of transport services in the district.
Chief of Tanahun Police, Superintendent of Police Mohan Kumar Acharya said that initiatives have been taken to resume the traffic. RSS
