Pokhara
Organising a press meet in Pokhara on Thursday, groom Prabin Bohara Sarki said he and his fiancée were obstructed to enter Masbar-based Pushkareshwor Temple for their wedding.
He claimed the temple management committee denied them organising wedding ceremony in the temple after they came to know that the groom and the bride were Dalits.
The victims demanded action against the guilty. Pitambar Baral, chairman of the temple management committee, however, refused any wrongdoing. He said the management committee simply urged them to come later as they were busy carrying out rituals on the occasion of the Shivaratri festival. (PR)
