Post Report
The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) slipped on Tuesday, losing 19.43 points, or 0.76 percent, to close at 2,528.16 points. The decline follows Monday’s 44-point rise, indicating a lack of sustained enthusiasm among investors.
Out of the traded companies, 33 saw their share prices increase while 214 recorded losses and 5 remained unchanged. The larger number of declining stocks pulled the overall index down into double-digit territory.
A total of 7.48 million shares were traded through 38,827 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs3.36 billion — a sharp drop from Monday’s Rs4.97 billion.
Among the 13 trading sub-indices, collective investment funds, others, and trading groups registered slight gains, while all remaining sub-indices declined, contributing to the overall fall in the benchmark index.
