Gold and silver prices surge in domestic market

Gold and silver prices rose sharply in the domestic market on Wednesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold is being traded at Rs288,500 per tola (11.663 grams), marking a strong rebound after Tuesday’s fall of Rs1,600 per tola. The federation said the price increased by Rs14,600 per tola in a single day.
Silver also posted gains, trading at Rs4,920 per tola on Wednesday, up from Rs4,505 per tola on Tuesday, an increase of Rs415 per tola.
In the international market, gold was trading at around USD4,561 per ounce in early trading, Reuters reported. Global bullion prices remained steady, supported by stable investor demand and cautious sentiment in financial markets.
