Nepse extends losing streak, closes at 2,708
Benchmark index drops 11.52 points on Sunday, with market turnover shrinking to Rs4.40 billion.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) continued its downward trend for the fourth consecutive session, falling by 11.52 points on Sunday to close at 2,708.25. The benchmark index slipped 0.42 percent compared to Thursday.
During the session, 58,087 transactions were recorded, with 11.12 million shares traded, generating a turnover of Rs4.40 billion. This marked a decline from Thursday’s Rs5.14 billion.
Out of the companies traded, share prices of 79 advanced while 173 declined, pushing the overall index lower.
Among the 13 sub-indices, only finance, manufacturing and processing, and mutual funds posted gains. All other groups, including banking, development banks, hydropower, and life insurance, ended in negative territory, adding further pressure on the market.
