Nepse falls 18 points, but turnover rises
Over 58,000 transactions worth Rs6.54 billion were recorded as shares of 208 companies declined.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) dipped by 18.2 points on Sunday, closing at 2,739.95.
The benchmark index fell by 0.65 percent compared to the previous day, extending the market’s losing streak to three consecutive sessions.
According to the stock exchange, share prices of 208 companies declined, while only 41 advanced. The imbalance weighed heavily on the overall market, resulting in a double-digit drop in the index.
Despite the decline, trading turnover increased. A total of 14.09 million shares were traded through 58,105 transactions, amounting to Rs6.54 billion. This was higher than Thursday’s turnover of Rs5.02 billion.
Out of the 13 sectoral sub-indices, all but the manufacturing and processing group posted losses, contributing to the market’s downward trend.
