The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 34.61 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,794.78, a 1.25 percent rise from the previous trading day.
This marks the second consecutive day of growth, with the index having climbed 34.46 points on Tuesday as well, continuing the upward trend in investor confidence.
According to NEPSE data, share prices of 193 companies increased, while 55 declined. The broad rise in share prices across nearly 200 listed firms contributed significantly to the double-digit increase in the index.
A total of 99,505 transactions were recorded during the session, with 43.1 million shares changing hands. The day’s total turnover reached Rs14.03 billion, marking a notable increase from Tuesday’s Rs9.42 billion turnover.
