NEPSE sees modest rise, share transactions reach nearly Rs11 billion
28.4 million shares were traded in 89,161 transactions, amounting to a total turnover of Rs10.87 billion.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a slight improvement on Sunday, with the benchmark index rising by 3.58 points (0.13%) to close at 2,661.60 points.
This marks a continuation of the upward trend observed last Thursday, when the index had also seen a minor gain of 2 points.
During Sunday’s trading session, share prices of 104 listed companies increased, while 141 saw a decline. A total of 28.4 million shares were traded in 89,161 transactions, amounting to a total turnover of Rs10.87 billion. This represents a significant increase from the previous session’s turnover of Rs 7.87 billion.
Out of the 13 sub-indices, those related to hotels and tourism, hydropower, investment, manufacturing and processing, mutual funds, and trading sectors posted gains. The remaining sub-indices recorded losses, according to NEPSE.
