NICCI Secretary General Sharma takes charge as Honorary Consul General of Kyrgyzstan to Nepal

Secretary General of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ramesh Sharma has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Kyrgyzstan to Nepal.
The flag hosting and inauguration ceremony were held in the presence of Non-residential Ambassador to Nepal Askar Beshimov.
Sharma is the chair of Sharma and Company, a construction company based in Nepal.
Sharma’s appointment and establishment of the Honorary Consulate office in Nepal would foster enhancing and strengthening the bilateral economic relations between the two countries, NICCI said in a statement.
Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country surrounded by China in the East, Kazakhstan in the North, Tajikistan in the Southwest, and Uzbekistan in the West. It achieved independence in 1991 when the USSR dissolved.
The country is rich in hydropower, gold, rare earth metals, locally exploitable coal, oil, and natural gas, among other resources.
