Standard Chartered Bank Nepal held a fundraising programme called ‘Home Run 2023’ among its staff on Saturday.
The event is part of ‘Futuremakers by Standard Chartered’, the bank’s global sustainability initiative to ‘tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people in our communities’.
Around 200 staff took part in the event by walking, running and cycling across an 11km route covering the bank’s branches in Naxal, New Road and Naya Baneshwar, the bank said in a statement.
Funds raised in the event will be used for Futuremakers-related CSR projects in Nepal, the bank said. “Home Run is a fantastic initiative by the bank to make a difference by raising funds and supporting young people from low-income backgrounds,” said Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar, the bank’s chief executive officer.
