Footwear manufacturers have rolled out a wide range of affordably priced shoes besides unveiling sales promotional schemes for the festive season.

Rocket Shoes Nepal, Dulla The Factory Team, Factory Nepal and Skechers are some of the shoe companies that have introduced new shoe designs and special offers to lure buyers.

Known for shoes with leather insoles, Rocket Shoes has sold more than 8,000 pairs during the ongoing festival

season, said Nabin Aryal, chairman of Rocket Shoes. The company started online sales of Rocket Shoes in mid-April. It now has around 20 dealers across the country. The main advantage of having a leather insole is that it prevents foot odour, he said.

The company makes party shoes and casual shoes for men of all ages, he said. Rocket Shoes offers a free gift of a wallet with every purchase, he added. Prices of Rocket Shoes range from Rs1,995 to Rs2,795 and the products are available in various designs.

“We offer leather shoes at very competitive prices, and we also assure quality as all our leather shoe products are waterproof.”According to him, the leather it uses to manufacture shoes is imported from Chennai, India. The company plans to manufacture sports shoes, gents boots and school and college shoes in the near future, he said. Another brand Dulla has rolled out winter boots as its new product offer for the Dashain season. According to Ahmed Dulla, CEO of Dulla The Factory Team, the company makes winter boots for both men and women. Prices of winter boots range from Rs6,000 to Rs9,000 for women, and Rs7,000 to Rs8,5000 for men.

The company offers shoes, accessories and socks under its Dashain scheme. He said that the company received good demand for Dulla shoes this festive season like during previous festive seasons. Dulla shoes are manufactured using original leather imported from India and Italy. The company offers shoes for all ages. Prices range from Rs4,000 to Rs12,000. Its shoes are available in Pokhara too.

Factory Nepal, an online multi-brand shoes store which opened nearly a month ago, recorded sales of around Rs400,000 during the festival season, said Denish Sirs, owner of Factory Nepal. The online store sells high copy brand shoes like Adidas, Nike, Reebok and others made in Vietnam. Prices range from Rs4,000 to Rs6,000. Factory Nepal offers a 10 percent discount as a festival offer, he said.

The company has shoes for all ages and for both men and women. It plans to introduce clothes after a month, he said. Sirs added that the company aimed to provide quality branded shoes at affordable prices. He plans to open a shoe store in Pokhara. Skechers brand offers discounts of up to 40 percent on its shoes for the festive season.
