Security guards have warned of stern protests from April 27 if authorities concerned fail to implement the minimum guaranteed salary published in the Nepal Gazette on February 1, 2016.
All Nepal Security Workers Union’s province 1 committee on Friday submitted a 13-point demand to the Eastern Region Security Business Union with an 18-day ultimatum to address them.
The security workers have demanded implementation of the guaranteed salary of Rs10,941 per month, a months’ salary as Dashain bonus and leave provision and deduction of allowance for provident fund as per the Labour Act.
Other demands of the workers include allowances, free uniform, 15-day funeral holiday, 90-day paid maternity leave, Rs500,000 worth of accident insurance, according to Raj Kumar Malla, coordinator of the province 1 committee.
