A 15-year-old boy from Jubitha in ward 6 of Tilagufa Municipality went missing after being washed away in the local Tila River on Friday afternoon. 

According to Police Inspector Poshan Thapa, information officer of the District Police Office, Kalikot, the boy who was studying in grade 9 at Satyadevi High School in Jubitha went missing at around 2 pm in the river while fishing with his friends. 

The police are conducting a search and rescue operation with the help of locals. 

All security personnel have also informed villages and settlements around the river to immediately inform the police if anyone sees the boy, said Thapa.
