Two killed, four seriously injured in Rukum West jeep crash

Two people were killed, and four others were seriously injured when a jeep crashed in Deuta Khola in Sanibheri Rural Municipality-6 of Rukum West district on Sunday, police said.
The jeep was travelling from Kotgaun in ward 6 towards Khalanga via Simli, the rural municipality’s administrative centre in ward 9, when it crashed, according to the District Police Office, Rukum West.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel, chief of the district police, confirmed that two people had died. Police teams have reached the crash site, while a team led by Paudel was also heading there.
The identities of the deceased had not been established.
According to Pahal Singh Gharti, chair of Sanibheri-6, the jeep driver and a woman passenger died at the scene. Jeep owner Bal Bahadur Pun was among those injured but sustained minor injuries.
