Nepal reports 658 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Monday reported 405 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 995,646.

Similarly, 253 people tested positive in a total of 3,262 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Monday, 5,873,796 PCR and 1,338,673 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 3,381 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,993 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 979,357 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 456 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,296.

In the past 24 hours, 24 new infections were reported in Province 1, nine in Madhes Province, 205 in Bagmati, 50 in Gandaki, 25 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 21 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Sunday reported 202 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 180 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Saturday and 246 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday.
