Nepal logs 10 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Monday reported nine new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,674.

Similarly, one person tested positive in a total of 1,091 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Monday, 5,600,115 PCR and 1,152,062 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 3,600 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 966,373 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 34 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 350.

Kathmandu Valley recorded six new infections in the last 24 hours. Of them, four were reported in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur.

In the past 24 hours, seven new infections were recorded in Bagmati, one in Gandaki and one in Sudurpaschim.

On Monday, five individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another one was on ventilator support in Bagmati Province.

Nepal on Sunday reported 11 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, nine new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday and 14 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday.
