The US Embassy Nepal concluded its multi-city Creator’s Mela 2026 with a two-day finale programme in Kathmandu at Aloft Hotel on January 30 and 31. With the 4th edition’s theme, ‘Vision to Venture’, the mela was designed to bridge the gap between digital storytelling and professional enterprise.
Aligned with the theme, the Kathmandu edition brought together creators, performers, industry professionals, and brand leaders for panel discussions, spotlight sessions, deep-dive conversations, live performances, and workshops. This followed the embassy’s commitment to professionalising the creator economy and supporting economic growth nationwide.
On the first day, the panel discussions covered topics ranging from personal transformation to professional content creation. The conversations were based on the topics: ‘Creator's of Now: What today’s Creator Life really looks like’, ‘Heart over Hype: What’s beyond Followers, Views, and Virality?’, ‘Nepal on Global Stage: How creators get there’ and insightful spotlight sessions on ‘Fit without The Filter: The Things Fitness Influencers Don't Tell You’ and ‘Cybersecurity When It Matters The Most’.
Bringing together voices from diverse backgrounds, the US Embassy Nepal presented moderators and panellists who shared experiences, raised questions, and confronted the challenges of Nepal's digital landscape. Ekta Tandukar (Holistic Health and Lifestyle Content Creator), TD Gurung (Fitness Influencer), Rehan Shrestha (Creative Director/Lifestyle Digital Creator), Lex Limbu (Media Personality/ Blogger), Elena Don (Digital Creator) and several other personalities were on stage.
Adding refreshing breaks to the discussions, dance, music and stand-up comedy performances by Kabita Nepali, Ujan Shakya, Neetish Jung Kunwar and Aayush Shrestha kept the audience energised throughout the event.
Authenticity, confidence, mental health, inclusivity, relevance, branding, and several other topics related to balancing public and private life were covered in the second day’s sessions. The programme featured Panel discussions on ‘Inspired, Not Copied: How Creators Protect Their Originality’, ‘What Truly Captures A Brand's Attention?’, as well as spotlight sessions on ‘Image vs Inner World: Who Are You Really?’, ‘Behind Every Post: The Strategy You Don't See’, ‘Creator's Economy and Global Challenges’ were held.
The programme ensured audience participation by addressing their questions and fostering dialogue. The Mela ended with a performance from Sajjan Raj Vaidya.
Simultaneously, the Mela conducted several workshops on creativity, finance, AI, digital stress, and mental wellness.
