Nepali students shine at 2025 World Scholar’s Cup
Premier International IB Continuum School earns 19 gold and 39 silver medals in Bangkok and qualifies for Yale’s Tournament of Champions.

Premier International IB Continuum School has achieved a significant milestone at the 2025 World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Bangkok. Ten students participated, obtaining 19 gold and 39 silver medals, and qualifying for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in December.
According to a press statement issued by the school, Shruti Shrestha became the first Nepali student inducted into the World Scholar’s Cup Hall of Fame, securing the title of Overall Champion Scholar in the Senior Division. She had earlier received the JAC Khor Award at the Kathmandu Regional Round and repeated this result internationally, alongside 11 gold and four silver medals.
As per the statement, other students also achieved the following results: Garima Ranjit (one gold, seven silver), Sanvee Upadhyay (one gold, four silver), Sanskrity Adhikary (one gold, three silver), Bianca Pal (one gold, four silver), Rachel Sapkota (three silver), Sanaatan Neupane (two silver), Aarush Acharya (two silver), Mantra Pokharel (two gold, six silver), and Suprina Ami Adhikari (one gold, four silver). Sanvee Upadhyay also served as Nepal's flagbearer for the opening ceremony.
The competition involved over 5,200 students from 30 countries and featured competitive categories such as Writing Champion, Subject Challenge, Asimov Award, Team Debate, and Champion Scholar.
The delegation will represent Nepal at the Tournament of Champions at Yale University from 8 to 14 December 2025, where they will compete against peers from around the world.
