Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, organised the second session of the Entrepreneurship Talk Series on Thursday. With the theme ‘UNLIMITED’, the session aimed to empower participants with effective team-building and collaboration strategies.
Pre-registered and walk-in participants filled the hall to learn from two distinguished speakers who shared their expertise.
The first speaker, Santosh Pandey, co-founder of Offering Happiness and Oho Cake, delivered a talk on team dynamics. A Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia honoree, Pandey shared lessons from his journey as an entrepreneur, political strategist, and educator.
Pandey began his session by covering essential aspects of team building. He shared insights on how to find a perfect co-founder and provided a valuable lesson on how failure should not hinder one’s determination and passion for creating change. He discussed the dynamics of collaboration in solving specific problems, highlighting the motivational role of team members when everyone is aligned toward a common goal.
To honour his contributions, Pandey received a handcrafted wooden token of appreciation from the event’s gifting partner, CNC Hastakala Nepal.
The second session featured Priyanshu Pokhrel, co-founder of Pyari Education, advocating for data-driven solutions to social challenges. A junior at Wesleyan University majoring in Economics and Data Science, Pokhrel shared her journey in establishing Pyari Education, which addresses taboos surrounding sexual and reproductive health in Nepal.
Pokhrel’s session introduced her team members from Pyari and provided an overview of the organisation’s formation. She shared her motivations for establishing Pyari and finding like-minded individuals to support this cause. During her talk, she discussed her initiatives to break the taboos surrounding menstrual health and sex education in Nepal. She emphasised that one’s passion should drive one's pursuits rather than the desire for monetary gain.
Pokhrel was also honoured with a wooden token of appreciation, a plant, and refreshments from event sponsors.
The event featured a Q and A session, with participants winning discount coupons from Botanical Bites for their active engagement. The speakers concluded their sessions by recording 100-second videos to be shared on Hult Prize at IOE’s official social media platforms, facilitated by Hritesh Rai, the team’s Content Creator.
