The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that a westerly low-pressure system is currently influencing Nepal’s weather, particularly in the western region.

While the weather remains mostly clear across the country, partial cloud cover has been observed in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Dense fog has also developed across many areas of the Tarai.

Light rainfall is expected in isolated hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province today. Similarly, light snowfall is likely in a few high-altitude areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim and in isolated high-elevation regions of Gandaki Province.

The Division has urged caution, citing the potential impacts of fog on daily life, agriculture, health, transportation, and flights.
