President Bidya Devi Bhandari left for the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan to mark the 40th year of the establishment of dimplomatic ties between the two countries.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba were on hand among other high-level officials at the Tribhuvan International Airport to see off the head of state. A contingent of Nepal Army offered a 21-gun salute to President Bhandari on the occasion. The President is scheduled to return home on November 30.
