Fire guts eight shutters in Kailali
Electrical short circuit blamed for; no casualties reported.

A fire damaged eight commercial shutters in ward 4 of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City in Kailali district late on Sunday night.
According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the fire that broke out near NAST College at around 10:45 pm was caused by an electrical short circuit.
The incident damaged four shutters of Helen Trade and Suppliers, three of Parivartan Impex wholesale clothing store, and one shutter of Centre Point Restaurant were damaged in the incident.
The blaze was controlled around midnight with the help of locals, police, and three fire engines—two from Dhangadhi and one from nearby Godawari Municipality.
Police said 45 Nepal Police personnel under Superintendent Balnar Singh Rana and 25 Armed Police Force personnel led by Inspector Saroj Khatiwada were deployed.
Goods stored in the shutters were destroyed. The total loss is being assessed. No casualties were reported.
