Three dead in Bajura jeep crash
Nepal Telecom Bajura Office chief among those killed as jeep plunges 500 metres down the hillside.

Three people, including the head of Nepal Telecom’s Bajura office, were killed in a jeep accident at Kandakot in ward 2 of Jagannath Rural Municipality, Bajura, on Tuesday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hawari of the District Police Office, Bajura, the deceased have been identified as Lal Bahadur Khadka, chief of the Bajura Telecom Office, security guard Rabindra Dhami deployed at the Dhamkane tower, and jeep driver Karan Singh Mahtara of Kanchanpur. All three died on the spot.
Local resident Deepak Karki said the accident occurred when the Nepal Telecom jeep, heading towards Kandakot from Martadi to replace the battery at the telecom tower, veered off the road and plunged nearly 500 metres down the hillside.
Karki added that two others—Nandaraj Tiruwa and Lokendra Tiruwa of ward 2 in Budhinanda Municipality—who were assisting with the battery replacement work, sustained injuries and were taken to Kolti for treatment.
