Prince, Jessica winners at Pushpa Lal ranking badminton
In the final of the women’s singles, the winner of the seventh edition, APF’s Gurung saw off Nepal Army’s national champion Rashila Maharjan 18-21, 21-15, 22-20 for her second Pushpa Lal title.

Silk Group’s Prince Dahal and Armed Police Force Club’s Jessica Gurung lifted Yonex Sunrise 10th Pushpa Lal Memorial national ranking badminton titles on Sunday.
The 17-year-old shuttler, who leaped to third in junior badminton world ranking on Friday, overcame Armed Police Force Club’s Dipesh Dhami 21-18, 21-13 in men’s singles final at the Golbazar covered hall to clinch the title. Dahal was seventh in the previous ranking published by the Badminton World Federation in March last year.

Likewise, Devraj Rana was the winner in the men’s singles except top 16 seeds category. Rana beat Army’s Diwas Shankhar 15-21, 21-18, 21-16. Prathana Deuba defeated Anjana Rai 21-9, 21-13 in women’s singles except top 12 seeds to win the title.
In men’s double, Army’s Ratnajit Tamang and Nabin Shrestha beat their associate pair Suroj Maharjan and Pabin Linthep 21-19, 19-21, 21-13 to secure top spot, while Army’s Rasila Maharjan and Amita Giri frustrated APF’s Jessica Gurung and Sunayana Mukhiya 21-18, 21-12 in women’s double final.
