A girl was killed in a road accident in Sangachowk of Sindhupalchowk on Friday.

According to Police Inspector Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, also the information officer at the district police office, a 12-year-old Bahrabise-3 local lost her life after being hit by a tipper.

The victim died on the spot, Yadav said. Her body has been taken to the Chautara Hospital.

The vehicle and its driver Subas Giri, 28, have been taken into police custody and further investigation into the matter in underway, police said.
