Four people were killed and one was seriously injured when an electric microbus travelling from Kathmandu to Hetauda crashed near Mahalakshmi Khola in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-2 of Makwanpur on Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Suraj Bhattarai of Dhanushadham Municipality-4 and Nar Bahadur Thakuri of Kawasoti Municipality-1, Nawalparasi. The identities of the other two deceased passengers have yet to be established.

The microbus was heading towards Hetauda when it met with the accident.

Ramesh Bista, chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Makwanpur, said police and traffic personnel had been deployed to the accident site.
