An Indian national was arrested on charge of looting a passenger on a public vehicle in Birgunj.
Akhilesh Kumar Sah, a local of Machhargawan in West Champaran district in Bihar, India, was taken into police custody after he robbed a passenger on a bus, en route to Birgunj from Narayanghat, on Wednesday.
According to the Parsa District Police Office, Bara local Upendra Mukhiya was robbed of Rs41,500 and a mobile phone after the 37-year-old arrestee fed Mukhiya drugged sweets and biscuits.
The mobile phone and Rs27,410 were confiscated from Sah during his arrest from Bhanuchowk in ward 16 of Birgunj Municipality on Wednesday.
