A woman died and five others were injured when a school bus hit a group of people in Bindhi, Janakpur along the Janakpur-Jaleshwar road section on Sunday.

According to Dhanusha District Police Office, the woman, who appears to be in her 30s, died after the bus belonging to the Janakpur-based Angel's School hit a group of wedding attendants.

The injured have been taken to Janakpur Provincial Hospital.

Angry locals vandalised the bus following the accident.
