Armed robbers loot bank in Mahottari

An unknown gang of armed robbers looted a bank in Mahottari on Tuesday.
The heist took place at one of the branches of NMB Bank in Mahottari Bazaar in Ward 2 of Mahottari Rural Municipality around midday, police said.
According to Superintendent of Police Prakash Malla, the robbers held the bank employees at gunpoint and looted the bank. They fled on motorbikes with Rs3.5 million.
Police have been kept on high alert and search for the robbers is underway, Malla added.
