The Rastriya Swatantra Party has expanded its secretariat and appointed new office-bearers and department chiefs.

A central committee meeting on Friday appointed Pramod Neupane as chief of the organisation department and Jagdish Kharel as the party’s spokesperson.

The meeting appointed Purushottam Yadav as joint general secretary, Manohar Pradhan as treasurer and Basumaya Tamang as joint treasurer. Namita Yadav and Surendra Chaudhary were appointed joint spokespersons.

The party also expanded its secretariat, bringing Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, deputy leader of the parliamentary party Ganesh Parajuli, former general secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Lima Adhikari, Dipakraj Bohara, Sameeksha Baskota, Shiva Nepali, Indira Rana Magar and Manish Jha into the secretariat.

The meeting also nominated Bhupdev Shah, Sudan Gurung, Sunil Lamsal, Pratibha Rawal, Purushottam Yadav, Basumaya Tamang, Surendra Chaudhary, Bhakta Bahadur Rai and Manohar Pradhan as central committee members.

The party also appointed chiefs to several departments. Bijay Jairu will head the public service and public grievances department, Dr Toshima Karki the public health department, Nisha Dangi the infrastructure department, Shisir Khanal the international and diplomacy department, and Lima Adhikari the finance department.
