Rastriya Swatantra Party dominates FPTP race, leads proportional vote count

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) continues to dominate the first-past-the-post (FPTP) vote count, winning 36 seats and leading in 83 other constituencies, according to the latest Election Commission tally.
The Nepali Congress has secured six of 165 seats and is leading in nine constituencies. CPN-UML has won two seats and is ahead in nine constituencies. The Nepali Communist Party has won two seats and leads in eight constituencies.
Other parties and independents together have won one seat and are leading in six constituencies.
Based on the ongoing proportional representation (PR) vote count nationwide, RSP is leading with 1,03,715 votes (54.8 percent) out of 1,89,514 total votes counted so far.
Other major parties are trailing. Nepali Congress has 31,171 votes (16.5 percent), CPN-UML has 22,216 votes (11.7 percent), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party has 9,477 votes (5 percent). The Nepali Communist Party has 7,627 votes (4 percent), while the Shram Sanskriti Party secured 5,747 votes (3 percent).
Smaller parties have received the remaining votes, with combined totals making up eight percent. The count reflects entries from polling centres nationwide and is preliminary.
