CPC congratulates RSP on election victory, pledges deeper ties

The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on its victory in Nepal’s House of Representatives elections, expressing readiness to strengthen bilateral ties.
In a message issued from Beijing on March 11, the CPC extended “warm congratulations and best wishes” to the RSP, noting the longstanding friendship between China and Nepal. It described the relationship as one “connected by mountains and rivers” and guided by a strategic partnership aimed at development and prosperity.
The CPC emphasised its willingness to deepen political mutual trust and promote high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, while working towards a closer “China–Nepal community with a shared future”.
Referring to its past engagements with the RSP, the CPC said it valued ongoing exchanges between the two parties. It expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Rabi Lamichhane and Balendra Shah, the RSP would continue to foster friendly relations with China and contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
