Khadga Shahi of the Nepali Congress has won the House of Representatives election from Mugu.
Shahi secured 7,914 votes to claim the seat.
His nearest rival, Purna Bahadur Rokaya of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), received 6,718 votes, trailing by a margin of 1,196 votes.
Meanwhile, Chandra Bahadur Shahi of the Nepali Communist Party finished third with 5,558 votes.
