Monsoon-induced disasters have claimed the lives of 125 people across Nepal in the past 38 days.

According to Nepal Police, as of Thursday afternoon, floods, landslides, and other monsoon-induced disasters killed 38 people in Gandaki Province, 23 in Lumbini, 22 each in Bagmati and Koshi, eight in Sudurpaschim, seven in Karnali and five in Madhesh Province.

Likewise, 143 people were injured across the country, including 34 in Koshi Province, 33 in Karnali, 29 in Gandaki, 15 in Bagmati, 14 in Sudurpaschim, nine each in Lumbini and Madhesh and Bagmati provinces.

A total of 222 houses, 80 sheds, 43 bridges, one school, and two government offices were damaged during the period, which displaced 3,721 households and killed 585 cattle.
