Naubise-Malekhu road to close during nighttime for 15 days
The road section will be closed from 10pm to 3am to facilitate construction of bridges.
Post Report
The Naubise-Malekhu road section of Prithvi Highway will be closed at night for 15 days starting this Wednesday.
In a notice on Tuesday, the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project East Section announced that traffic will be prohibited on the road section from 10pm to 3am.
The road will be closed for five hours daily to facilitate the construction of bridges over the Ganesh, Dangdung, Kheste, and Pokhare rivers.
The office said vehicular movement has been prohibited due to risks to road users and potential traffic congestion.
However, ambulances and security agency vehicles will be permitted to travel on the road during this period.
The project said vehicles travelling to Kathmandu could use the Galchi-Bidur-Chhahare-Tokha road as an alternative route.
Earlier, the Nagdhunga-Naubise road section of the Tribhuvan Highway was closed during night time for two days to facilitate the construction of a bridge over the Naubise River in Dhunibesi Municipality-7 of Dhading district.
Works are underway to expand the Nagdhunga-Mugling road, one of the busiest roads leading to Kathmandu.
