Former Nepal Army chief Dharmapaal Barsingh Thapa died on Thursday morning.
Thapa was admitted to the Chhauni-based Nepal Army Hospital two days ago following health complications, where he died while undergoing treatment, according to the Nepal Army.
Thapa was the chief of Army Staff from 1995 to 1999.
