Police on Tuesday seized around 15 kg hashish and 84 kg marijuana from two different places in Makawanpur district.

The security personnel confiscated 15 kg hashish from a motorcycle-borne man during the security check at Bhaise in ward 2 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality.

Motorcyclist Prashant Tamang, aged 31, of Dhading was held with the drugs, said police.

Similarly, police seized 84 kg marijuana from a car with Indian registration number at Newarpani in ward 19 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.

Driver Sabik Ansari of Simara in Bara district has been arrested for investigation, said police.
