Two people died and one was injured when a car hit them near Karkando Road in ward 18 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City on Sunday night.

 According to Police Inspector Gopikrishna Subedi of the District Traffic Police, the deceased were a male and a female of ward 13 of Nepalgunj. They died on their way to the Nepalgunj Medical College.

Similarly, the injured woman was also a local of ward 13 of Nepalgunj. The driver and another person in the passenger seat are in police custody, and further investigation regarding the accident is going on, said Subedi.
