The CPN (Unified Socialist) has rescheduled its general convention.
A meeting of the party’s central secretariat held on Tuesday decided to hold the general convention from May 16-20 in Kathmandu.
In September, the party, which broke off the CPN-UML two years ago, had decided to hold its tenth general convention from January 28-February 1.
The dates were rescheduled due to the National Assembly elections slated for January 25, Jagannath Khatiwada, the party’s spokesperson said.
The meeting formed a 27-member drafting committee led by the party’s chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to prepare a political dossier for the convention.
