Cabinet approves PM Dahal’s visit to the USA to attend UN General Assembly

The government has approved Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's visit to the United States of America to attend the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the government spokesperson, informed that a Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday morning approved the prime minister’s visit.
Dahal, leading the Nepali delegates, will leave for New York on September 16.
The prime minister is scheduled to address the UN general assembly on September 21, but before that, Dahal and Nepali delegations will participate in various meetings including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit on September 18 and 19 in the capacity of being the current chair of the least developed countries.
Dahal is scheduled to visit China straight from New York on September 22 after addressing the 78th session of the United Nations general assembly.
Nepal had taken the chair of the group of the least developed countries at the fifth UN Conference on Least Developed Countries held in Doha on March 5–9.
