Kathmandu:

President Ramchandra Paudel has been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu after he complained of a problem in his abdomen.

Suresh Chalise, principal adviser to the President, said the President had complained of acute pain in his stomach.

“Doctors are examining him and he will remain in the hospital tonight,” Chalise said.

President Paudel was admitted to the hospital in the evening on Saturday, according to the hospital.

“He is currently under doctors’ observation,” read a statement issued by the hospital’s duty officer (control room).
