Diarrhoea affects 47 in Makwanpur
At least 47 people have been taken ill after an outbreak of diarrhoea at Kailash Rural Municipality-7 in Makwanpur district.

According to health workers, most of the people affected are Chepangs. The disease, which was reported on Wednesday, has mostly affected people living in remote villages of Dokatar, Tamlang and Ratuwa. On Thursday, health workers from Bharta and Kalikatar health posts reached Tamlang village with medicines. Chief of Bharta Health Post Bishnu Rijal said the sick people are getting treatment in a health post building in Tamlang.
Rijal said the outbreak was caused due to consumption of contaminated water and food. Headmaster of Ramila Himdung, a local school, said the sick people received treatment on time after health workers were mobilised in the affected areas immediately.
