Neelam Karki wins Madan Puraskar 2075

A general meeting of the Madan Puraskar Guthi held on Monday has decided to award Karki for her book Yogmaya.
In a statement issued today, Guthi Chairman Kunda Dixit said that Yogmaya was picked for the Madan Puraskar from among the books published in 2074.
Similarly, Shanta Das Manandhar has been awarded Jagadamba Shree Puraskar 2074.
Manandhar has been contributing for the development, expansion and promotion of child literature for the past five decades.
The Guthi had made public eight books from among 253 books published in Nepal for the Madan Puraskar.
Madan Puraskar, considered one of the most prestigious literary awards in Nepal, was established on September 26, 1955 by Jagadamba Kumari Devi in memory of her late husband General Madan Shumsher JBR. Each year, the Guthi presents the award to an outstanding book along with a purse of Rs200, 000.
