Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) has ruled out the possibility of change in power equation in Province 2.
The RJP-N Parliamentary Party leader Jitendra Sonal on Monday told the Provincial Assembly meeting in Janakpur that the provincial government, led by the
coalition of the RJP-N and Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal (SSFN), was formed with a ‘special political mission’ and would remain intact regardless of the latter’s decision to join the Nepal Communist Party-led central government.
“The recent agreement between Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and the Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal will not affect the power equation in Province 2,” said Sonal, who is also the Province Minister for Physical Infrastructure.

NC wants Modi’s visit expenses disclosed
The main opposition, Nepali Congress (NC), has demanded the Province 2 government to disclose the expenses made during recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Janakpur.
Addressing the Province Assembly on Monday, NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Saroj Yadav demanded that the government should furnish the details of expenses made for Modi’s visit.
Some local news sites have reported about irregularities committed by the province executive and Janakpur Sub-Metropolis in the name of preparations for Modi’s Janakpur visit.
